Featured below are three of our "Forage First" customers. The colorful Appaloosa named Ta-Tan-ka's Shaman is owned by Charlotte Kachigian of Belleville. Born on March 19,1977, he is one of our older customers and has been maintained exclusively on Grostrong Timothy/Alfalfa cubes for the past three years. As he can no longer chew well due to the loss of teeth, Charlotte wets down the cubes to make a "mash" that he can handle. Doesn't he look GREAT?! He could be ready to earn his second ApHC distance riding medallion!
We are extremely saddened to report that Shaman had to be put down due to advanced arthritis. We know that Charlotte had to make a very tough decision, but Shaman is now galloping free and easy through horse heaven. Thanks, Charlotte, for being such a caring and conscientious owner.
Another one of our equine customers has proven herself in the show ring this year. Winning the Showmanship and Horsemanship Championships and placing 3rd in the Pleasure Championship at the 2004 All-Breed Youth Show is Perfect Jetsetter, a five-year-old mare owned by Becky Steiner of Manchester. "Destiny" is maintained on Patriot Easy Minerals and Moormans NaturalGlo Nuggets. Congratulations on a winning formula!
The third pair of pictures shows the before and after of Judy Ward's rescue horse. Judy has incorporated Patriot pellets with an extra bit of NaturalGlo to put the weight and "bloom" back on her new partner. Patriot pellets have a higher fat level than traditional sweet feed and can be fed at a lower rate while still promoting a good rate of gain. NaturalGlo rice bran pellets are an additional source of fat and calories and also a great source of natural VitaminE and anti-oxidants! Just look at the two of them now! (And if you see Judy, be sure to ask her about her "victory laps"!)
